For modern department stores, retailers, and service providers, it is becoming increasingly important to connect their offline shops with the online world. Kaufhaus Tyrol therefore chose a comprehensive e-commerce solution from syreta. In addition to the new website, an app was created that offers immediate benefits for the approximately 55 shop operators and their customers:

With the “Mary’s Chat“ feature, direct communication is possible between customers and the shops, service providers, and food service businesses at Kaufhaus Tyrol. Customers select a specific category (e.g., beauty, gift items, household) and can then send an inquiry to the relevant shops, service providers, or food service businesses. The shops receive the inquiry and can send back the answer (e.g., product suggestion incl. image/price, reservation confirmation).

In addition, the app offers a loyalty program in which every euro spent at Kaufhaus Tyrol is credited to a customer account. This is followed by rewards and gifts. 1 euro is 1 point.

Checking the current balance on gift cards is also very easy with the app. To do so, the card number on the back of the gift card is entered into the app. Everything at a glance: In the app’s shop overview you will find the Kaufhaus Tyrol shops, service providers, and food service businesses, along with the respective contact details.

What sets the Kaufhaus Tyrol app apart from many shopping-center apps is its consistent focus on direct communication. “Mary's Chat" is not a generic chatbot, but a real connection between customers and the actual shop operators in the building. Anyone who wants to know whether a particular product is in stock, whether a table is available, or which gift suits a particular occasion gets a real answer – from people who know their assortment.

The loyalty program based on the principle “1 euro = 1 point" is simple and transparent: no complicated points system, no hidden rules. For a department store with 55 different shop operators, this is an elegant solution that unites everyone under a shared loyalty umbrella.
