Lacoste: Platform for global ordering

B2B E-Commerce solution successfully on multiple continents

Rollout successfully completed in South America

After the e-commerce platform for the international luxury fashion label Lacoste was successfully launched in Asia at the beginning of the year, the rollout in South America has now also been successfully completed. This marks the next step in the international implementation, and the solution is available on multiple continents.

The platform coordinates the complex, worldwide ordering process between garment manufacturers and logo producers. It precisely controls which logo manufacturer supplies which textile manufacturer – enabled by a complex item assignment with numerous attributes. In addition to a detailed product presentation and a functional claims management system, special attention was paid to fraud management in order to detect, minimize, and monitor potential license infringements. The legal backgrounds of the individual parties – in particular their [AGBs] – were also taken into account.

In addition, the solution manages the procurement and allocation of promotional materials for global campaigns and ensures that the respective correct promotional materials are available in the right quantities in stores worldwide.

What makes the Lacoste project particularly remarkable in its scope is the complexity of the assignment logic. Which logo manufacturer supplies which textile manufacturer, in which market, under which legal conditions – this is not a simple database table, but a multidimensional system that simultaneously controls supply chains, monitors license infringements, and coordinates promotional materials for global campaigns.

The fact that this system was first rolled out in Asia and is now successfully integrated in South America in 2014 shows two things: the platform scales internationally, and syreta delivers solutions that work even under complex global requirements. From Wels to South America – that is not a given.

The successful completion of the rollout in South America underscores the ongoing expansion and the successful global implementation of the platform.
