Diaconal Work – digital campaign for the Advent season

Soon the Advent season will begin, and with it the traditional lighting of the first candle on the Advent wreath. Diakoniewerk invites everyone to experience this special time consciously and to shape it together online. At www.adventkranz.diakoniewerk.at, visitors can light a virtual candle every day and accompany Advent step by step.

With a bit of luck, there are handcrafted products from Diakoniewerk’s workshops to be won. The campaign combines contemplation, community, and social commitment in a modern way and creates an atmospheric opportunity to experience Advent digitally.

We think: a wonderful idea that reinterprets tradition and togetherness.

What the Diakoniewerk Advent campaign shows is how digital communication can work for social organizations as well—without glossy marketing, but with real impact. A virtual Advent wreath where a candle is lit each day is a simple idea. But it creates commitment: Those who take part come back every day. And those who return daily have the chance to win handcrafted products from Diakoniewerk’s workshops.
