No junk: the new website by Gebeshuber

syreta carries out relaunch of the existing online presence

Scrap iron and non-ferrous metals – that is what the company Eisenhandel Gebeshuber GmbH in Steyr trades in. The waste from the metalworking industry as well as household waste is collected, separated and sent for recycling using state-of-the-art methods.

The company’s existing website has now been recycled as well. With the support of syreta, a relaunch was carried out. Customers can now find all information about the company’s services and products – clearly presented.

New: the website now also has a login area for partners. Anyone who logs in with an email address and password can see the current daily metal prices. In addition, the customer or partner receives individual information.

The website has a responsive design, i.e. optimized for mobile devices (cell phone, tablet).

What makes the Gebeshuber website technically interesting is the partner login with daily metal prices. Commodity prices in trade are volatile real-time data – updating them manually every day would be time-consuming and prone to errors. The login area handles this elegantly: partners always see the current status without anyone needing to be informed by email.

For a recycling company that has been collecting, separating and sending metals for recycling since 1972, this is a pragmatic step toward digitization – not a big statement, but a noticeable gain in day-to-day operations.

Daily metal prices in the login area — a clever B2B feature

The protected partner login is the most technically interesting element of the new Gebeshuber website. Metal prices fluctuate daily and are business-critical information for business partners — industrial companies, trades businesses and dealers. Anyone who previously had to request these prices by phone or email now receives them with a simple login directly on the website — up to date, anytime and without waiting. This reduces effort on both sides: fewer routine inquiries for the Gebeshuber team, faster information for partners. In addition, individual information for specific customers can be provided in the login area — a first step toward personalized B2B communication.

Digitization in the scrap trade — an industry catches up

The scrap trade is not an industry typically associated with digital pioneering. All the more, the Gebeshuber project shows that digitization is relevant for every company — regardless of the industry. Anyone who offers their customers and partners a modern, informative and easy-to-use online presence signals: we take our business relationships seriously and invest in the quality of our communication. For Gebeshuber, a company with decades of tradition in Steyr, the website relaunch with syreta is exactly that — a clear commitment to modernization without abandoning the company’s established identity.
