New funding programs for digital projects in Upper Austria

Now get off to a flying start with the funding budget and syreta for digital projects

On March 15, 2022, the starting signal was given for a renewed funding program of the Chamber of Commerce and the State of Upper Austria. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are supported in order to maintain their competitiveness and enable them to emerge from the crisis digitally strengthened.

Getting off to a flying start online

The new funding program “DIGITAL STARTER 22” was divided into two focus areas and supports Upper Austrian companies that are active members of the WKOÖ and do not themselves offer digitalization services or IT solutions.

The focus area “DigiPROJEKT” includes the services “Digital business processes”, “Digital market development”, “Intelligent data management”, “Secure IT systems/Cyber Security” and “Resource efficiency through digitalization/sustainability”. With a funding rate of up to 40% of the total costs or a maximum amount of €4,000, projects such as online marketing consulting, creation or relaunch of a website, social media and search engine marketing, as well as projects related to online shops are funded.

In the other focus area, the “DigiBONUS” funding system, corporate projects dealing with secure IT systems and cyber security or resource efficiency through digitalization and sustainability can receive additional funding. In the area of “secure IT systems”, an additional 40% or a maximum of €5,000 is contributed, and in the field of “resource efficiency digitalization” likewise 40% with a maximum of €1,000.

Thus, with the new funding of the “DIGITAL STARTER 22” program, up to €10,000 in support can be achieved for your new digitalization project.

Which projects are specifically eligible for funding?

The range of eligible measures is deliberately broad. Whether a completely new online shop, the relaunch of an outdated website, consulting on search engine optimization, or the introduction of a digital inventory management system - all of this falls within the scope of the DIGITAL STARTER 22 program. Especially for companies that have yet to enter e-commerce or want to professionalize their existing digital presence, the program offers a unique opportunity to significantly reduce investment costs. It is important to apply for the funding in good time - the funds are limited and are awarded on a “first come, first served" basis.
