Together with UNIMARKT, syreta developed a comprehensive omnichannel solution for Austrian food retail. The goal was to connect the online shop, stores, delivery services, and customer programs into a central digital platform.

syreta developed a central solution with integration to SAP, KEOPS, ESL systems, Payback, Click & Collect as well as delivery services such as Lieferando and mjam. Prices, stock levels, orders, and customer information are automatically synchronized and made available across channels.

Omnichannel in Grocery Retail - One of the Most Complex Disciplines in E-Commerce

Food retail places higher demands on an omnichannel solution than almost any other industry. Prices change daily, promotions run for a limited time, availability fluctuates by store, and delivery time slots must be coordinated with regional picking capacities. In addition, there are legal requirements for labeling products, allergens, and origin. All of this must be consistent in real time across all channels—whether the customer orders in the online shop, wants to order via Lieferando, or uses Click & Collect. Integrating SAP, KEOPS, ESL systems, Payback, and multiple delivery services into a central platform is technically demanding and requires a deep understanding of both retail processes and system architecture. The fact that UNIMARKT won the EHI Retail Technology Award Europe in 2015 in the category “Best Multichannel Solutions" with this solution shows that syreta carried out pioneering work in Austrian food retail.
